Dr. Heo received her B.S. in Neurobiology at Georgetown University in 2015. She earned her Ph.D. from the Neuroscience Graduate Program at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, where she worked with Dr. Dwight Bergles studying oligodendrocyte lineage cells in health and disease. She then received her postdoctoral training at Vollum Institute, Oregon Health & Science University, in the labs of Drs. Kelly Monk and Marc Freeman. She will be joining University of Notre Dame in July 2027.
